The original depiction of the dichotomy of life and death. This piece displays the emotional balance found in the cyclincal nature of life and death. Within this balance, a notion of contemplation arises--what we brings life also brings death. For without either, there would be no existance at all.
 
The Dichotomies series aims to challenge our notions of dichotomies and the ideas they entail. Are these things so opposite? Or do they merely portray the many ways in which we flawed humans view the world? What is "good" or "bad"? "Negative" or "positive"? Are these not the judgements that our society has put in place over the course of history?
